"Just let me get it," said Rio, "my science equipment."
And out he came with the robin's egg on a little cushion,
a brush, a shovel, and a magnifying glass.
"Can we eat it?" he asked.
Blue shells, a yolk smeared across the tabletop,
his eye huge in the lens.
Silas and Eva ambled by.
"The clouds are like marshmallows,"
Silas said. "I can eat them."
